What I've been loving this Autumn and Winter season....

I love winter; mainly because I can wrap myself up in a cosy jumper but also, you can get away without shaving your legs every time you shower! I find winter quite comforting - from the snuggley jumpers to feeling the crisp, cold air on your face. As we are fast approaching Spring, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on what I have been loving this Autumn and Winter season....

Bath & Body Works 'Marshmallow Fireside' 3 wick candle
Last year I bought 5 of these large 3 wick candles from Bath and Body Works using the 'Go Send' to ship from the USA to the UK. These candles have such an amazing burn time that i still have 3 of the candles left! My favourite scent of them all is 'Marshmallow Fireside' which is Autumn and Winter in a candle! Top Tip: Trim the wicks with scissors before you light it each time to ensure your candle burns evenly. (Cost: $22.50, which is approx. £16).

Weston's Wyldwood Cider
For my sister and brother-in-law's wedding anniversary last summer, I treated them to a cider mill tour and ploughman's lunch at our local 'Weston's Cider' in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. They had a great day out and came back, not only a little worse for wear but also ladened down with Cider treats! Now, I'm not a Cider drinker usually but this particular cider they treated us to is scrummy! It's a still, dry cider that is also Gluten Free - which means extra brownie points for Weston's! Cheers! *Hic Hic* (Cost: £35.80 for 4 x 3 litres).

Cath Kidston 'Pluto' mug
This lightweight mug from 'Cath Kidston' is the perfect size for a luxury hot chocolate on a cold winter's evening. Cath Kidston's latest Disney collaboration features Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Pluto. As you can probably tell, Pluto is one of my favourite Disney characters. This Disney range is currently in the winter sale, with the mugs now only £6.50.

Aussie Dry Shampoo
You may have seen me rave about this purchase over on my Instagram and that is because this product is, in one word.....AMAZING! Over the past few years I have tried numerous brands of dry shampoo and not one of them has done the job; I'm either left with white marks at the roots or with greasy hair. But not with Aussie's 'Wash & Blow in a can: Peach Fusion'  dry shampoo! It doesn't leave white marks as it's colourless on application and once you have massaged into your roots it leaves you with fresh looking, soft and silky hair for hours! Perfect for those mornings where you are running late and can't find a hat! (Cost: £4.71)

Primark Dressing gown
This was a spontaneous purchase from Primark and one I am not regretting! I love a dressing gown that...has a hood, stays soft and snuggly, has long sleeves and looks great! Primark has not disappointed me on this occasion because this one hits all the spots and has stars all over it! Top marks Primark! (Cost: £15).

A hearty, homemade Roast Dinner
If you have read my recent blog post about the 30 things I've learned in 30 years (link here), then you will have guessed how much i love a good roast dinner! There is nothing quite Ike a homemade roast with roast potatoes, stuffing, parsnips, carrots, sprouts, peas, chicken (or lamb, or beef, or pork!!) and lashings of gravy on a cold winter's evening. This autumn/winter season I have been making a roast dinner from scratch each week and loving it! Top Tip: Part boil your potatoes and parsnips, sprinkle a little flour and drizzle honey on them and then roast for a mouth watering flavour!

The Grand Tour
My favourite TV trio are back creating on-screen chaos and plenty of laughs on Amazon TV. As I'm writing this, it's nearly the end of Series 2 already but as ever, Clarkson, Hammond and May are as entertaining as ever! The highlight of the series so far has been the episode about the old Jaguar's, but there is a series 'special' coming up and I'm sure it wont disappoint! The Grand Tour makes the annual £79.99 Amazon Subscription worth it!

Next Festive Reed Diffusers
I picked up a set of 4 mini festive reed diffusers from Next before Christmas and instantly fell in love with the 'Gingerbread' scented diffuser. The other scents in the set are; Mulled Wine, Gin Fizz and Prosecco. They are and last around 2-3 weeks. Most important of all, the smell great and look cute! The black reeds make the product look very luxury and high-end. As the festive season is now over, it's very unlikely you can still get this set in store.

Aussie 'Winter Miracle' Shampoo and Conditioner
As you can probably tell by now, Aussie products are some of my favourite hair care products on the market and their most recent edition does not disappoint. The shampoo and conditioner have left my hair feeling frizz-free, hydrated and with fewer split ends. I have tried out several of the Aussie hair products, but this limited edition set, as well as the 'frizz fixer' set, have proved to be the best suited to my hair. If Aussie need an ambassador, I'd happily be one! (Cost: £5.99)

Old Navy Jeans
I have left the best until last as these jeans are not just any old jeans, they are the only jeans for me now! The only problem? They are from Old Navy in the USA, which means I can't buy them in the UK?! I bought the 'curvy' straight leg style denim jeans in 2 colours. I bought these in the NYC 'Times Square' store during my most recent trip in January this year. Most jeans (skinny and straight leg styles) make my legs look weird, well, more precisely like a baby elephant trying to look sophisticated. But these Old Navy straight jeans have changed all that, they look great - even on me!

Those were just some of the lovely products I have been enjoying this autumn and winter season. Do you agree with my list? What have you been loving this winter? Leave me a comment on this post to let me know what to try out next.

Big Love,

30 Things I've Learned in 30 years....

I turned 30 last year and it got me thinking about all the things I have done in my life so far. All of the jobs, roles, friends, loves and losses I have experienced have each taught me valuable 'life lessons' which I thought I would share with you, my readers.

So here we go, the 30 Things I have Learned in 30 years.....

1. Friends - as Robbie Williams once sang...."you win some, you lose some" and that's ok.
2. You don't need alcohol to have fun and dance on tables, you just need a good friend.
3. Not everyone has the same polite manners as me.
4. Always write thank you notes.
5. Avoid 'Ikea' at the weekend.
6. Positivity is the key to faking confidence.
7. Snow is no longer any fun once you're an adult and are expected to drive in it to get to work!
8. Giving people thoughtful and creative gifts makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
9. You don't need everyone to like you.
10. Being short (precisely 5ft1") has some limited advantages, but not when you're buying jeans!
11. Failing something doesn't mean you give up.
12. Life is full of highs and lows (and somewheres in between).
13. Hearty roast dinners make everything better!
14. Never take time spent with your family and friends for granted.
15. We always want what we haven't got.
16. It's ok to not always be in control of everything all of the time.
17. There will never be a book series as epic as Harry Potter in my lifetime.
18. Don't waste time thinking about the "What if's...?"
19. Giving someone your time is more valuable than giving them money.
20. U2 have never written a bad song.
21. Don't take things personally; as this is just a reflection of your insecurities.
22. Have courage and be kind - always!
23. You are never too old for Disney.
24. Memories are far more valuable than things.
25. Remember that what you see on people's social media are merely highlights and not their life story.
26. No one can ever replace Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May as car show hosts.
27. Take time to travel the world and experience different cultures.
28. My favourite country to travel to and explore is Italy.
29. 'Life Plans' don't always work out how (or when) you expect them to but embrace what life throws at you and you'll come out stronger.
30. Time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

Until next time.....
Big Love,
